WINS TWO 2023 PRO AWARDS
Includes Gold Award for Best Primary Suite Over $200,000, Shared with Project Partner Traverse Architects
CAMBRIDGE, MA [May 17, 2023] — Cambridge-based Charlie Allen Renovations (www.charlie-allen.com), has won two 2023 PRO Awards, sharing each with Cambridge-based Traverse Architects. The two prizes, each for the same Winchester, MA renovation project, are for Best Primary Suite Over $200,000 and Project Using the Most PRO New England Members.
The PRO Awards are presented annually by PRO New England, a non-profit membership association dedicated to advancing quality in the professional remodeling industry.

The award-winning primary suite is part of a larger whole-house renovation conducted over several years by Charlie Allen Renovations with Traverse Architects. The suite, composed of a bedroom, closets, and bathroom, was redesigned to bring character, prioritize views of the surrounding landscape, and improve flow between spaces. A highlight of the remodeled bedroom is a masonry fireplace constructed of dry-stacked stone with a reclaimed wood mantel constructed from a ladder once used at Boston Harbor. The new bathroom features a curb-less shower with inset storage cubbies and a floating platform that runs the length of the room, supporting the vanity and extending into the shower where it provides seating. The resulting space is bathed in natural light and elevated by dynamic and distinct design elements.
Other areas of the home that were renovated by the team include the living room, kitchen, entry, basement, and patio. A roof-deck and a home spa were added.
